What does electronic lodgement (EL) mean for the Mortgage Connect lender?

1. Speed of process.

In our trials we have seen a PAYG deal lodged and conditionally approved within three minutes. We believe such will be a very powerful selling tool.

All loans that are lodged electronically will be given priority service for assessment. This means a speedier service for you and the borrower.

2. Data verification.

Electronically-lodged home loans will go through a data verification check which will ensure greater accuracy of data. With greater accuracy we will cut down on re-checking and subsequent re-work.

To assist the priority processing of your EL loan, we request that supporting documentation be sent through (using the EL fax number above) as soon as possible after the loan is electronically submitted. The BMS Lender processing your loan will request supporting documentation when processing commences if it has not been received.
The Home Loan Request (Short Form Application) has been developed for EL loans. This form is printed from your EL system and includes the Privacy Declaration and other declarations by the applicants. It must be sent in your supporting documents pack.

Electronic lodgement system messages will be sent back to you to confirm loan receipt, conditional approval/refer for manual assessment decisions and other important milestones during the electronic lodgement process.

What loans can be lodged electronically?

The following products will be accepted electronically for new loan applications:

Discount Variable Rate Home Loan
Fixed Rate Home loan 1–5 years
Introductory Fixed Rate Home Loan
Low Doc Home Loan
Portfolio Loan
Seniors Access Home Loan/Seniors Access Plus Home Loan
Increase applications (i.e. increases to an existing loan account)
Standard Variable Home Loan
St.George Essential Home Loan
Pre Approval loans
No Deposit Home Loans
Flexible choice (i.e. Residential loan with 4 loan accounts) subject to loan structure specifications (see Attachment 1 on page 13)
Requests for a Credit Card(s). You can submit a loan application electronically and request a Credit Card in your Broker notes in the Electronic submission.

What loans cannot be lodged electronically?

The following loan types or features cannot be submitted electronically. The existing process for submission of non-electronic applications applies using the existing fax number to submit your application:

Company applications
Trust Applications
Non Residential Securities
Applications for the following SMS products:
Interest Subsidy product group
Foreign Currency Loans

Loans that cannot be lodged electronically can be submitted via the fax numbers above and Application Forms can be printed from your EL system ready to submit once all customer data is entered.
